ISSUE:

• Dealer called to hearing for selling consignment vehicles when not authorized and failing to pay the consignors for the vehicles
• Dealership may be in financial difficulty - has not paid consignors

OUTCOME:

• Dealer licence was suspended at February 11th hearing
• Suspension was lifted at the April 7th hearing with conditions; three customer claims must be resolved; dealer provides VSA with a financial statement; dealer provides VSA with a $10,000 letter of credit; and $1000 hearing and investigation costs charged.
• Dealer failed to attend July 5th hearing – Registrar cancelled dealership licence
