MOTOR DEALER and/or SALESPERSON: SG POWER PRODUCTS LTD. (Dealer #8040)

ISSUE:

• Pursuant to Sections 5 and 6 of the Motor Dealer Act, the dealer was called to a hearing for operating with unlicensed salespeople.
• It was noted that this is not the first time SG Power Products Ltd. has failed to ensure its salespersons are properly licensed.
• The law and the conditions of SG Power Products Ltd. registration require the sale of motor vehicles to the retail public occur through licensed salespeople. SG Power Products Ltd. has breached that requirement.

OUTCOME:

• Pursuant to Section 5(b)(ii) of the MDA, the Registrar order that SG Power Products Ltd. dealer registration be suspended for a period of three days.
• During the suspension, SG Power Products Ltd. may not engage in the "lease, exchange or other disposition or supply of a motor vehicle to an individual primarily for the individual’s personal or family use."
