MOTOR DEALER and/or SALESPERSON: JDM WHOLESALE CANADA LTD. (Dealer #30512)

ISSUE:

• Consumers had prepaid in full for vehicles which were imported into B.C.
• JDM failed to provide vehicles as agreed to these consumers.
• Some vehicles were missing accessories as promised by JDM
• Six consumers sought compensation from the Customer Compensation Fund, which were paid out.
• Investigations and the costs to manage JDM were also to be paid from the Customer Compensation Fund.

OUTCOME:

• JDM’s registration was cancelled and may not be re-registered until it reimburses the Compensation Fund.
