ISSUE:

• Beverley Reive applied for a salesperson licence and a dealer licence
• It was disclosed that her husband, Jerry Reive, had an extensive criminal record
• Beverly Reive claimed that he would take no part in management of the dealership

OUTCOME:

• The Registrar noted that Ms. Reive had no prior experience in the auto business and his written opinion concluded that the "guiding mind" would be her husband
• The licences were denied
