FILE NUMBER:

HEARING DATE: April 23, 2007

IN THE MATTER OF THE MOTOR DEALER ACT R.S.B.C.1996 C.316 AND
THE BUSINESS PRACTICES AND CONSUMER PROTECTION ACT S.B.C. 2004 c.2

COMPLAINANT: REGISTRAR

MOTOR DEALER and/or SALESPERSON: RAMIN KARAMALI (Salesperson #109444)

ISSUE:

  • Application for a salesperson licence

OUTCOME:

  • Long history of MDA violations and other statutes
  • Licence denied – may not reapply for three years.

Excerpt from the Registrar’s decision:

"As communicated at the conclusion of the aforementioned hearing, the primary reasons in reaching this decision are the nature of your criminal record and your extensive history in the motor vehicle industry in this province wherein various Motor Dealer Act and other laws have been broken. This decision means that effective forthwith, you cannot under any capacity, partake in the sale of motor vehicles to the public at the retail level in the province of British Columbia, nor will a motor dealer licence be issued to you until such time as you have obtained a salesperson licence."

COMPLETE DECISION: Noted above
