MOTOR DEALER and/or SALESPERSON: BLUE STAR MOTORS (Dealer #10290) AND ROBERT LIBERA (Salesperson #105640)

ISSUE:

• Operating with unlicensed salespeople at the dealership

OUTCOME:

• Administrative assessment of $500 re dealer principal Mr. Libera not being licensed since 2004.
• Payroll audit determined that three other salespeople had worked for more than five months at the dealership, despite being unlicensed. A further $650 assessment was charged related to that, as well as the cost of the proceedings.
• Mr. Libera became licensed, paid arrears licence fees and brought the dealership into compliance.
