A motor dealer's licence is valid only at the designated location as noted on the motor dealer licence certificate.

As per Section 3 of the Motor Dealer Act and Section 6 of the Motor Dealer Act Regulations, as well as Directive # 2 of the Motor Vehicle Sales Authority, a licensed dealer may apply to the VSA for permission to participate in an "off-site sale" event such as a consumer show, exhibition or special sale.

Any dealer participating in an off-site sale event is required to request and receive a special permit for their participation from the VSA prior to attending the event.

List of Off-Site Permits Issued

A list of off-site permits issued by the Registrar of Motor Dealers is available on this site. The list contains all upcoming permits issued as well as those issued for events held within the past three months.
